The Kindred are beings who were once human, but have been "embraced". They belong to an ancient race which evolved alongside humans. Their life source is blood. They exist in a world between life and death. It may be hundreds of years before they meet the Final Death. They survive only through The Masquerade, a set of laws punishable by death if broken. A set of laws created to allow them to live among the humans. The Kindred Guild of Meridian is a part of the largest single sect of vampires, the Camarilla.

CLANS
Malkavian: Commonly (and correctly) believed to be insane, the "kooks" nonetheless posses an uncanny vision and wisdom. True creatures of chaos. Infamous for destructive and sadistic members. Typically, they search for members who have seen so much truth that they have descended into the pits of chaos, and thus have unique perspectives on reality. They seek to drive the mortal mad.
Nosferatu: Ostracized and misunderstood by others, the hideous "sewer rats" live out their sordid existence's in hiding. Commonly have a "feral animal" look to them, including the pale skin and pointy ears common to "old world" vampires. Do not interact in the city with mortals like the other clans do, but never the less they seem to know everything that goes on with everyone...and everyone's deepest secrets. They are probably the best and most informed of all the Kindred.
Tremere: Wizards descended from an ancient legacy, the "warlocks" work together to increase their influence and power. Dedicated and extremely well organized . Highly intellectual and manipulative , and respect only those who struggle and perservere despite all odds. They believe they must use other clans in order to prosper. Have immense love and loyalty to their clan.
Ventrue: Aristocrats of rarefied taste and manner, the "blue bloods" are leaders of cool cunning. They believe in good taste, being cautious, honorable and social, and above all hard work...at making their lives comfortable. They are commonly the leaders of the Kindred. It is this group of vampires that mingles and intertwines best with the mortals, especially the upper class ones. They will do almost anything to retain their monopoly on the politics of the cities and the rest of the clans and they are very protective of their reputation.

Officers and positions of The Kindred
The Prince -( Guild Master )- The Prince will be the leader of The Camarilla, chosen from among the seven clan elders. He will preside at all meetings of the Elders and at all conclaves. He will be in charge of relations with the Meridian staff and other outside influences. However, his actions at all times must meet with a majority approval of the rest of the Elders.
Clan Elders -( Assistant Guild Master )- Each Clan Elder is in full charge of his own clan and has the autonomy to make all decisions effecting his clan without regard to the opinions of the other Clan Elders, as long as those actions do not considerably affect the other Clans. The responsibilities of the Clan Elder include, but are not limited to, preparing members within their respected clans for full membership. This includes a training and an educational period. In addition to the aforementioned duties, The Clan Elder will also help in organizing clan and guild wide events.
Head Justicars- The two Head Justicars will assist the Prince in the running of the Camarilla. This will be an advisory position, to both the Prince and those Elders seeking his wisdom, with no vote within the Inner Circle. The Head Justicars will also work with The Clan Elders in organizing, setting, and running a training course to help train the neonates and to better train full members (Vampires). The Head Justicars will also be responsible for keeping a Guild Membership list, with the monthly information provided by each Clan Justicar, and to distribute any guild-wide information to all such members.
Clan Justicar- Each Clan Elder will appoint a Clan Justicar to assist in Clan affairs. This will be an advisory position to the Clan Elder, and in the absence of the Elder, the Justicar will be called upon to handle any urgent Clan business. The Clan Justicar may appoint an Archon to assist him in his duties, should it become necessary and with the full approval of the Clan Elder. The Justicar will also be responsible for keeping track of all necessary records, such as membership and Clan meetings. He will make a full report monthly to the Head Justicar of any membership changes and pertinent Clan business. The Clan Justicar and Archon hold the title of Vampire, however are next in line to hold the position of Clan Elder.
The Inner Circle- The Inner Circle is made up of The Prince of the Kindred, along with the other Clan Elders. These members will have voting priveleges on any decisions that are to be made and a majority vote will stand. The Head Justicars along with the other Clan Justicars may be invited to attend from time to time for their opinions and advice, but will have no authority in the meetings and no voting priveleges, unless they are in attendance due to the inability of the Clan Elder to attend. The Inner Circle is responsible for all duties concerning the successful operation of The Camarilla and will meet on a monthly basis.
Vampire - The Vampires are full members of the Camarilla and are responsible for reporting to their Clan Elders.
Neonate - Neonates are still probationary, and not yet full members of The Camarilla. Noenates must fulfill a probationary period of a minimum of one week. They will give full respect to all other Clan members at all times . Neonates will only become Vampires once they have received their full instruction and training, have been presented to the Prince, and have been notified by their Clan Elder that they have been accepted as a full member of the Vampire Society.

Membership Process
Membership Process- Prospective members are chosen. After talking to a Full Member, (Vampire) if someone is interested in joining they will first submit to becoming the ghoul of that Vampire. They will be known to the members of Kindred as a ghoul. The Vampire who has created the ghoul must then instruct the prospective member in the Traditions. Once the ghoul has exhibited worthy role play potential, they will receive a game mail from the Clan Elder of the Vampire they are bound to. The Clan Elder will notify the ghoul of a time and place to meet the Elder for an embracement ceremony or to drain them of the creating Vampire's blood to break the bond of the ghoul. If the ghoul is embraced they will be considered a Neonate. At this time they will be introduced to each Clan Elder to assist in determining what clan shall provide the final embrace to raise the Neonate to full Vampire of Kindred. For a Neonate to become a Vampire, he must be approved by the Inner Circle. Each member is expected to play his/her Vampire a reasonable amount of time . If a member of the guild has not been seen or heard from in a period of no less than 2 weeks that person is considered dead, unless notification has been given in advance for school or something that requires a long leave of absence .
